3 Solutions to Save Savvy in 2017

Welcome to 2017! We hope you’ve made your New Year’s Resolutions. Ours is most certainly a renewed focus on you! Hence the reason why we are starting the year by motivating our members to make savvier financial decisions to achieve financial freedom.

1.With No Wings…Fly

Financially, January is a frustrating month for most people who receive their salaries early in December. And if you set out to end 2016 with a bang, you’ve more than likely maxed out your disposable income on entertaining, parties, food, drinks, new clothes, new curtains… you name it. A trip to the ATM may seem depressing right now, but we promise that the impossible is possible with a limited budget and the right mindset. It’s kind of what we mean by ‘With No Wings…Fly’. January is actually the month where your true survival instincts kick in and you learn how to stretch your money over a longer period of time. Whether it be focusing on buying the necessities, opting to eat at home and drink less, reviewing and distributing your funds responsibly and meaningfully, this month is proof that you know how to budget and save. Now being savvy is all in the mind. We want you to adopt the same mindset you have when you’re trying to survive in January to the rest of the year. You’ll be amazed at how much you save when you put your mind to it.

2. Our Cool New ATM’s

A trip to our ATM’s at our new location in Bruce Street is the place to be if you want to save savvy in 2017. If you don’t monitor your disposable income on a regular basis or you simply forget, swiping your debit and credit card can put you in a poor financial position. Visiting an ATM allows you to keep tabs on your balance and print out balance receipts as a helpful reminder of the amount you have available to spend. If you’re one of those people that stack up balance receipts, why not use them to access how you spend on a daily basis and how much money you would need to withdraw to cover you for a week. Stick to your weekly budget and avoid using your debit and credit card when you are unsure about your available funds. Now, don’t get us wrong, we want you to be able to enjoy the convenience of a debit and credit card, but we’d rather you get to a place where you truly understand your spending habits before you get stuck in bad habits.
