St. George’s, Grenada – 24 February 2026: The Ariza National Championships, one of the premier events on the national athletics calendar, will take place on 28 February and 1 March 2026 at the Kirani James Athletics Stadium. The meet promises an exciting showcase of talent as athletes from across the island compete for top honours and national recognition.
The championships serve as a qualifier for the CARIFTA Games. With the regional competition being hosted in Grenada this year, even more local athletes will have the opportunity to compete and represent their country on home soil.
For more than a decade, Ariza Credit Union has proudly partnered with the Grenada Athletics Association to support youth development through sport. In continued demonstration of this commitment, Ariza presented a cheque for EC$50,000 to the Grenada Athletics Association (GAA) as sponsorship for the championships.
Mr. Lord remarked, “Ariza remains dedicated to investing in initiatives that empower young people and strengthen communities, as sport plays a vital role in building discipline, confidence, and opportunity.”
Conrad Francis President of The Grenada Athletics Association expressed gratitude for Ariza’s continued partnership and consistent support of one of the country’s most anticipated sporting events.
