Education Savings Plan Blue Ribbon Award

The Ariza Credit Union would like to recognize the member of the Education Savings Plan who has excelled in performance at the Caribbean Primary Exit Assessment. This scholarship will be awarded to the saver in the credit union’s Education Savings Plan with highest score in CPEA each year.  Scholarship amount will be $1000 annually for five (5) years.

Eligibility
Applicants must have a completed the CPEA exam and seeking entry to a Secondary School.  Additionally, the applicant must be a saver in the Education Savings Plan.

Secondary School Scholarship

The Secondary School Scholarship is awarded to children of members of the Ariza Credit Union based on financial need and academic performance in the CPEA exams. This Scholarship provides the student with funds every term for the duration of the Child’s Secondary school life.

Joseph Bain Scholarship

Joseph Bain Scholarships are awarded to members of the Ariza Credit Union who are pursing tertiary education in Grenada or abroad. The Scholarship was named after Mr. Joseph Bain who served as the Ariza Credit Union treasurer for many years.

Members interested in obtaining assistance for a tertiary level course of study need to submit the following.

Requirements
Applicant must be an Ariza Credit Union member pursuing or intending to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Accreditation course.
Completed Application Form

Applicant must provide the following:

  • Pay Advice Slip or Pay Advice Slip of Parent or guardian
  • The Latest Transcript from Institution attended
  • Official Letter from Institution stating:
    • Current Enrolment Status
    • Cost of tuition and related expenses for the Academic Year
  • Indication of Other Sources of Assistance (state whether applied for or have received)
  • Two (2) paragraphs no less than 100 words “why the area of study was chosen and benefits to the Credit Union”
  • Two recent Passport Pictures to accompany their applications.

Brighter Futures Scholarship

The Ariza Credit Union after recognizing the need of its members over the past years has embarked on providing assistance to students seeking to further their education at the tertiary level. The average parent incurs an estimated annual cost of $2000.00 in fees and books for their child’s college education.  This scholarship fund provides for two (2) annual scholarships in the amount of $3000.00 representing tuition and books for a two (2) year period, an annual amount of $1500.00.

Selection will be done through an assessment process and will be based on the following:

  • Scholastic Performance
  • Need
  • Community Involvement

Eligibility
Applicants must be a high school graduate and seeking Tertiary level education at the T.A. Marryshow Community College. Additionally, the applicant must be an Ariza Credit Union Excel club member, Education Savings Plan member, Ariza Credit Union member or child of an Ariza Credit Union member.

Requirements of Application

  • Completed Application Form
  • Copy of High School Diploma
  • Proof of Application to T.A.M.C.C.
  • Recent Salary Slip of Parent/Guardian
  • Reference Letter from School or Community Group

Scholarship Timeline

  1. T.A.M.C.C. Applications – June
  2. Scholarship Applications open – July
  3. Scholarship Committee Meets and reports by August 16th
  4. Report submitted to Board of Directors for consideration – August 20th
