Ariza’s COVID-19 Response

Ariza Credit Union continues to monitor developments on the COVID-19 virus and remains vigilant in preventing its spread. The health of members, employees and the general public is of paramount importance and this is reflected in the proactive steps being taken.

What is COVID-19?

According to the ACDC (American Center for Disease Control and Prevention) Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses. The virus causing coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) was first identified in Wuhan, China. Current symptoms reported for patients with COVID-19 have included mild to severe respiratory illness with fever, cough, and difficulty breathing.

What is Ariza doing?

Ariza Credit Union recognizes its responsibility for implementing guidelines from health officials, while continuing to serve members, who may have varied needs especially during this period of uncertainty. Education about the virus, as well as hygiene procedures have been heightened. Some of the measures taken have included:

  • Continued education and updates to employees regarding COVID-19
  • Extra cleaning and sanitizing of workstations, public areas and high touch areas such as ATMs, elevator buttons, handrails, etc.
  • Placing of hand sanitizers in all public areas
  • Continued regular handwashing by employees
  • Distribution of gloves and masks to member-facing employees
  • Distribution of masks to persons with the following symptoms: coughing and sneezing

ARIZA Credit Union remains committed to serving members. Consistent with guidelines from the Government of Grenada and health officials, the Credit Union is encouraging members to maintain social distancing and, as far as is possible, avoid visiting the branches to conduct transactions that can be conducted remotely.

Members are encouraged to use:

  1. The CONNEX Network of 28 Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs) spread throughout the island. These are  available 24/7 for withdrawals and deposits
  2. Online Account Access (AMIE: Ariza Mobile Internet Experience) through a desktop or laptop (arizacu.com) for:

Request cheques                      Balance enquiry                 Utility bill payments

  1. Ariza Mobile Internet Experience (AMIE) App, available on the App Store and Google Play for:

  1. Where possible, Skype, telephone, and other electronic media for LOAN appointments, queries and interviews.

Transactions which are unable to be completed by any of the above means, will be facilitated in branch during reduced hours from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., effective Thursday 19th March 2020 until further notice.

Your contribution

Be proactive in your efforts to prevent the spread of virus. Here are some safety tips to help:

  • Wash hands regularly with soap and water or use hand sanitizers with at least 60% alcohol
  • Avoid touching your face (eyes, nose, mouth)
  • Practise respiratory hygiene. Cover the mouth and nose with a bent elbow or tissue when coughing or sneezing, then dispose of the used tissue immediately in a covered bin
  • Disinfect high-touch objects and surfaces often
  • Limit public outings and avoid crowds as much as possible
  • Maintain social distancing (at least 6 feet distance) from others, especially anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms.
