Position: IT Officer

Job Summary:

The IT Officer is a generalist with working knowledge in workstation configuration, installation, troubleshooting, upgrading and maintenance. The job holder is expected to be able to handle device and network connectivity. The job duties will include:

• Provide hardware and software troubleshooting support to staff
• Install and configure new hardware such as computers, printers, and other peripherals
• Assist in the development and implementation of new software applications
• Monitor and maintain the uptime of our ATM, Debit Card and Home Banking services
• Some physical activities such as light lifting and moving computer equipment or crawling into tight spaces

Requirements:

Preferred Education, Certification & Training:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or any other related field.
• Project Management certification would be an advantage

Preferred Experience:

• At least 1 year experience providing hardware and software support
• Experience in the development of software and web applications.
• Experience in a financial institution would be an advantage

Preferred Competences, Qualities & Character Traits:

• Computer equipment installation, configuration, and support
• Competence in one or more of the following languages: JavaScript, C#, SQL, Python, HTML
• Mastery in basic Microsoft Office Applications with a focus on Teams
