Position: Investment & Portfolio Analyst

Job Summary:

The Investment & Portfolio Analyst will be the representative in the Investment and Brokerage operation of Ariza Credit Union and assist in implementing initiatives to build members’ wealth, improve their financial literacy and facilitate the achievement of financial freedom.

Responsibilities would include:

  • Develop financial models to support valuation, planning and forecasting. Conduct comparable analysis and market research to support internal financial analysis towards developing a portfolio of high-yield, minimal loss investments.
  • Perform the role of representative on the Eastern Caribbean Securities Exchange (ECSE), act as a liaison between the Exchange and members and actively participate in auctions and other activities on the ECSE.
  • Engage members, provide financial planning advice and guide them in formulating their investment plan. Conduct and reconcile transactions aligned with members’ investment plan.
  • Review members’ personal financial statements, calculate financial ratios, perform financial statement analysis and make recommendations.
  • Contribute to the achievement of financial targets through analysis of financial results, forecasts, variances and trends.
  • Assist in developing member financial literacy programmes, and participate in member outreach activities, including financial counselling.
  • Manage assigned portfolio in accordance with policies and procedures to capitalize on opportunities for growth in member investment transactions.

Requirements:

  • Education and Training:
  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Financial Management, Business, Accounting, Economics or related area
  2. Valid ECSE Broker-Dealer securities representative licence
  • Experience:

One (1) to three (3) years of experience in investment brokerage and dealership, business finance, financial planning, financial analysis or a related field.
