A historical moment for St. David as Ariza launched the first ATM in the parish

It was a momentous occasion for the people of St. David as Ariza Credit Union launched the first Automatic Teller Machine (ATM) service in the parish.

Mr. Brian Mc Sween, Personal Assistant to the Honourable Minister Oliver Joseph said, “The new ATM in St. David is a testimony of Ariza’s commitment to meeting you where you are and providing financial freedom.”

Residents now have access to an ATM conveniently located at Petite Esperance, St. David, opposite the police station. This added location provides a convenient venue for Ariza members and persons in the community to easily access their cash through a debit or credit card. This ATM is the newest in the Connex Network family.

The first ATM in St. David became operational May 28th, 2019 with a blessing and ribbon cutting ceremony by Father Carl Haynes and Mrs. Meryl Forsythe. In attendance were community leaders in St. David, government officials, Ariza staff, members of the credit union community, Ariza members and well-wishers in the community.

The CEO of Ariza Credit Union Mrs. Lucia Livingston-Andall expressed that this was more than just another ATM. In actuality, “it is the continuation of a dream to make a difference and build the community we are part of.” She also noted that “while we recognize the need to do daily transactions; we must not forget the credit union concept of thrift saving and wise investments.”

Mr. Javan Williams, President of Ariza, expressed how important it was for Ariza to make ATM services available to members in their backyard. This new service allows members and the community alike, to save on transportation costs and time.

Representative of Grenada Co-operative Bank Limited, Mr. Floyd Dowden – Executive Manager of Operations and Administration congratulated Ariza on this milestone achievement. The new ATM at Petite Esperance came from the common goal between Ariza and Grenada Co-operative Bank Limited of surpassing customers’ expectations through its Connex network.

Following its brand promise of financial freedom, Ariza continues to implement initiatives that simplify and enhance the lives of its members.

Ariza sweetens this occasion with a smile factor; persons withdrawing at this new ATM can win “extra cash” instantly with the Ariza Stash of Cash promotion. Up to twenty-five hundred dollars ($2,500.00) extra cash can be won by the lucky persons using the new ATM.
