Job Summary:
The Loan Analyst II will provide front end service to borrowing members as part of the lending process, in accordance with ‘The Ariza Way’ loan delivery standard.
Responsibilities would include:
- Engages with and advises members on viable borrowing solutions, providing financial counselling and making appropriate recommendations, especially where requests do not meet lending standards.
- Analyses and evaluates members' loan requests, including assessing eligibility for pre-approval.
- Prepares accurate and viable loan applications for submission to the approving body according to the established processes, and in compliance with policies, regulations, and by-laws.
- Approves loans within the designated limit, in compliance with policies, regulations and by-laws.
- Reviews and monitors monthly post loan disbursement and delinquency reports, makes collection calls and takes the necessary actions/steps to correct past-due status, for members in assigned portfolio.
- Performs loan closing activities according to the established processes.
- Manages assigned portfolio in accordance with policies and procedures to capitalize on business opportunities for loan growth.
- Cross sells the Credit Union products and services and develops new business through targeting.
- Reviews various departmental reports and take the necessary actions to address matters. Prepares and submits reports as agreed and/or requested.
- Updates and maintains credit and lending records and files.
- Develops and maintains system for workflow to ensure efficiency, personal effectiveness and service excellence.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Banking, Business, or related field required.
- Certified Residential Underwriter (CRU) or other related Professional Certification
Experience:
Five (5) to eight (8) years of experience underwriting loans, including mortgages.

- Extensive knowledge of residential and other loan underwriting policies and procedures. • Strong knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and by-laws.
- Good understanding of Credit Union philosophies and principles.
Salary: Grade 11: $54,291.00 - $76,007.54
